We are happy to announce Detroit Restaurant Week is back for the 2014 spring edition! Restaurant week kicks off today, Friday, April 11 and will run through Sunday, April 20. The event is sponsored by Shinola and produced by Paxahau, with Quicken Loans/Opportunity Detroit as a supporting sponsor. Patrons can dine at 19 different restaurants that are focused on providing a unique experience that can only be found in Detroit.
While the majority of restaurants will charge $30/person for a three-course meal, one of Corktown’s newest establishments, Ottava Via, will be the first to charge just $20. The Grille Midtown, which opened late last year, is another new name to the list. Find all participating restaurants on the official site of Detroit Restaurant Week.
In conjunction with this event, Detroit Metro Times has released a number of activities after dinner. The goal is to have those who participate in restaurant week stick around for the festivities in the evening. Since the first DRW in 2009, this event has brought more than 290,000 patrons to Detroit and has helped the local community by generating millions of dollars. More details about the nightly happenings can be seen by clicking here.
Head down during this event and enjoy a delicious three-course meal from any one of the 19 restaurants participating in Detroit Restaurant week. Check out Facebook and Twitter for even more information and be sure to share with foodjunky which restaurant(s) you try!
